Update: This pup can be released to her new family the first week of October. She has just finished her antibiotics. Before she leaves, she will be cleared by our vet for adoption. We are now taking applications on her and will be allowing people to meet her. Be prepared to fall in love!
Aaleyah was rescued from our local animal control before she was due to be euthanized. She is an Australian Cattle Dog puppy who is believed to be around 9 weeks old. Sadly, right after she was taken into her foster home, she began to get sick. She was admitted to our vet hospital with parvo. After 6 days of very intense treatment, she was allowed to come home to recover. Her foster family has shed many tears of sadness and now joy!
She is recovering very nicely now and is showing her 'true colors'. She is such a wonderful puppy! She is crate trained and very quiet (no sleepless nights here). She loves to play and would LOVE a family that will cuddle her everyday for the rest of her life. She is extremely intelligent and is already learning to SIT. She took really fast to crate training and we have had NO accidents in the house. She will be immune to parvo due to her high antibodies she produced while fighting the virus.
Please research this breed if you are not familiar with Heelers. My 'personal' dogs are all heelers and we LOVE this breed but we did need to learn their personalities when we first got them.
DogBreedInfo.com.Aaleyah's vet bills were high (but she is ALIVE). Her adoption fee will be a little higher to help recover a fraction of these costs. It is $200 plus a $50 REFUNDABLE deposit that you will receive when she is spayed in a few months. She is current on all her shots and parasite free. Thank you for helping US help THEM!
Please call to make an appointment to see her, or look for our next Adopt A Pet date on our Petfinder home page.
Pets For Life Rescue has decided as a group not to ship our pets, the prospective owners must be able to come see the pets in person.
