Lucy is a young (1 to 2 year old) lady looking for a family to cherish her. She is on a mission to change people's minds about her often-misunderstood breed!
This girl is a gorgeous pit bull terrier. You have to SEE this dog in person to really appreciate her definition and beauty. She was rescued right before being euthanized at our local animal control.
Her story is a sad one. Apparently, her owner left her at animal control with the promise that she would be back to pick her up. She told the officers how special this girl was. She looked into this faithful dog's eyes and said she would be back to pick her up. She even gave the receptionist a phone number to make sure she could be contacted if anything came up. Well, days passed. Lucy sat in her cage watching people walk by..wagging/thumping her tail in anticipation that she was going to be let out of her cell. Her owner never came back. When animal control tried to call the number that they were given, it was a wrong number. In a frantic plea on kill day, they were able to find someone to foster Lucy. She is now in a foster home waiting for her FOREVER home.
Lucy gets along well with the other dogs in her foster home. She doesn't even seem to mind the cat who resides there. Looking for a beautiful dog physically and in spirit!?! Well, look no further!
The only negative thing is that she can be a bit pushy about attention and does gaurd her food some. (typical pittie traits). Telling her to stop settles that. She does like to be wherever you are and is very trainable. Her sparkplug personality is going to make someone very very happy!
Lucy is spayed,UTD on her shots, and parasite free, She is ready to go spend the rest of her life with you.
Lucy's adoption fee is $50.
